State officials to offer overview of services

Officials from Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner’s office will be in Steubenville on Thursday, July 23 to present an overview of the agency’s business services division.

The event, entitled “Where Business Starts in Ohio,” will feature a presentation by Debora Batta, director of business services, and Ann Block, regional liaison. The presentation will focus on detailed information regarding services likes corporate and business filings and name reservations.

Sponsored by Progress Alliance, the program will run from 8-9:30 a.m. in the Museum Room of Froehlich’s Classic Corner, 501 Washington St. in downtown Steubenville. A continental breakfast will be served and tickets are priced at $10, payable at the door.

Block noted the July 23 presentation is “open to anyone.  It will help identify the process for someone in the beginning stages of starting a business to those in non-profit organizations or larger businesses. Information will be provided on what resources the secretary of state can provide and identify additional resources one may consider when starting a business or complying with ongoing regulations.”

For more information or to make reservations, contact Ruth Casey at Progress Alliance, 283-2476 or rcasey@progressalliance.com.
